Welcome to the Gunner’s Gear Story!

I am a US Navy Gunner’s Mate (Retired), active shooter and hunter, and currently a field service technician for a machine tool manufacturer.

My wife (the brains and the talent) is a Mother, retired Navy wife, my spotter, employed full time, and is a seamstress extraordinaire. Yep, she’s the busy one, I’m just the face man.

We didn’t set out to start a business; I just needed a rear shooting bag for when I used my bipod. I couldn’t find one that I liked, they were too short, too flimsy, not weather resistant, etc., so I asked Janice to make me one.

This one as a matter of fact. I posted a few pictures of my rifle at Sniper’s Paradise one weekend, one of which had my rear bag in it. A friend noticed it, we went through the “where did you get that?” scenario. So he asked if she would make him one. She did. Then when he posted a picture of it in the Sniper Chat forums, and described how well it worked, demand got a little crazy. So here we are.

And that is how I went from being a crusty old retired sailor, to a fabric buyer. I have to admit; sometimes the support role is very fulfilling.
